Our gazebos are made from Standard or Better S4S2E smooth tight knot cedar. The log posts are 8" to 10" posts that are bolted to the frame of the gazebo for extra strength.....(description continues below)

The log rails are constructed with 6" top and bottom rails. The spindles are aproximatley 3" in diameter.

Floor framing is a 2x6 construction and the decking is full 1x6 that is screwed with treated screws and comes in two sections for easy assembly (holes are pre-drilled and come with bolts). Floor sections are bolted together for strength and stability.The 2x6 construction is used because this gives more strength when attached to the decking, giving even weight distribution for heavy loads

Log Gazebo Roof Interior
Roof sections made of 2x4 construction are screwed together. The cedar shingles are attached to full one inch strapping .The roof comes pre-shingled in 8 sections using 18" shingles with a 6" reveal.
After all of the 8 sections are in place then you put the cedar ridge caps on.
The final step is the cupola, and that is placed on last. The cupola comes in one piece, and is approximately 1/3 the size of the roof.
